Android 14 released the BatteryManager API, the latest iteration of which allows you to check the health of your smartphone’s battery. This feature will also have some useful updates and information.
This new update was told by Mishal Rahman, according to which the new APIs are designed to provide useful information, for example, charging status, number of cycles, date of first use, production, and so on. And, of course, the state of the battery charge.
Currently, the new BatteryManager API has only arrived on Google Pixel smartphones running Android 14 Beta 2 or higher. Eventually, the update is likely to spread to other Android smartphones.
At first, the function may not accurately reflect the data. However, Google will eventually release its own battery tracking feature, which will be in the Settings app.
