Apple plans to introduce augmented reality AR in Apple TV
Next year, Apple plans to introduce new augmented reality AR content for its Apple TV + streaming service. Characters or objects from the TV show will be able to be integrated into your environment via phone or tablet, according to Bloomberg.
According to the publication, Apple’s goal is not only to increase the value of its TV + service but also to increase interest in AR technology before the headsets produced by Apple will be released in 2022.
As for how the technology will work, Bloomberg explains it this way: you, for example, will be able to move the lunar rover from the movie “For the sake of all mankind” to your coffee table.
The option will be the same addition to the service as the trailer or director’s commentary that the user receives with the purchase of the film. The company plans to introduce this technology in 2021, according to sources.
