Asus announced the ASUS ZenFone 7 and ZenFone 7 Pro smartphones
Asus just announced the ASUS ZenFone 7 and ZenFone 7 Pro smartphones at an event in Taiwan. They feature a 6.67-inch Full HD + AMOLED display with 90Hz refresh rate, 200Hz touch sampling rate, DC dimming function and Corning Gorilla Glass 6 protection.
The ZenFone 7 is powered by Snapdragon 865 and ZenFone 7 Pro is powered by 865+, both supporting stand-alone (SA) and non-stand-alone (NSA) 5G networks, up to 8GB of LPDDR5 RAM and running Android 10 with Zen UI 7 on the top.
ASUS has upgraded the ZenFone 6’s double flip camera to triple flip devices which include a 64MP main camera with a Sony IMX686 sensor, an ultra-wide 12MP camera with a Sony IMX363 sensor which is also capable of macro shooting and 8MP telephoto camera with x3 optical zoom and digital zoom up to x12. The main camera and telephoto lens are equipped with a 4-axis OIS (Optical Image Stabilization) system only in the ZenFone 7 Pro.
ASUS says the ZenFone 7’s rocker camera has a new 40% smaller but more powerful stepper motor. The angle sensor offers more precise control of the tilt angle in 0.5-degree steps and can also memorize your three favourite tilt positions for the quick angle change. It has been tested for 200,000 continuous failovers. The ZenFone 7 series includes a 5000mAh battery with support for 30W Quick Charge 4.0 fast charging.
