Match Preview

Sri Lanka and Bangladesh test series will start on April 21, 2021. The second test will start on April 29. Both matches will be played at the Pallekele International Cricket Stadium in Kandy. This series will end the journey of Bangladesh and Sri Lanka in the ICC Test Championship this time.

Due to increasing COVID-19 cases, there will be no spectators allowed to watch the match. Sri Lanka’s Ranjan Madugalle will officiate as match officials. Kumar Dharmasena and Ruchira Palliaguruge will be the umpires, Rabindra Bimalsiri will be the TV umpire and Hanibal will be the fourth umpire.

The two teams BAN and SL have faced off each other in 20 matches, with Sri Lanka winning 16 and Bangladesh winning one test. The record of the Lankans at Pallekele Stadium is also not very good. Sri Lanka has won just one of the six Tests played at the stadium.
