The BCCI wants to host the remaining matches of the suspended league in the UAE next September-October.
Meanwhile, the Caribbean Premier League is scheduled to start on August 28. It will end on September 19. Many of the world’s cricketers will play in the CPL. After finishing CPL, they will not be able to participate in IPL in due time. There is a matter of quarantine on him. Due to which those participating in CPL will have to miss some matches of IPL.
But BCCI wants him in all IPL matches. Due to which they have applied to the Caribbean Board to withdraw the CPL. Top Indian board officials have already started liaising with top Caribbean board officials. They requested to change the schedule of CPL.
“We are discussing the matter with Cricket West Indies,” a BCCI official told PTI. It is hoped that if the CPL can be completed a few days earlier, the cricketers can be brought from one zone to another in Dubai in time and their required three-day retreat before the start of the tournament will be completed.
