Recognized as the first bowler in the world, West Indies all-rounder Dwayne Bravo has touched the milestone of 500 wickets in T20 cricket. The cricketer, who played for Trincomalee Knight Riders, achieved this feat by dismissing St. Lucia Jukes opener Rakim Cornwell in the Caribbean Premier League today.
Dwayne Bravo made his T20 cricket debut against New Zealand in 2006, then played 458 matches (including ongoing matches) in both national and recognized T20s. Where he took 501 wickets at an average of 24.75, took 5 wickets twice; Best bowling performance with 23 runs and 5 wickets.
Dwayne Bravo has played 456 matches for 21 different teams so far, in which he has got 400 cricketers (XI) as teammates. The West Indies cricket star also has the experience to play against 1201 opponents, dismissing 312 different batsmen to take 500 wickets. National teammate Kieron Pollard has been dismissed a maximum of nine times, having previously been the highest wicket-taker in the T20I.
Sri Lankan fast bowler Lasith Malinga is the second-highest wicket-taker with 390 wickets. Bangladesh all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan is the sixth-highest wicket-taker in the T20I with 354 wickets at an average of 21.07 in 307 matches.
