Google improves the Google Lens Experience in its latest updates
At the SearchOn event, Google announced new updates to the Google Lens experience, improving the app’s visual recognition capabilities like the ability to understand quadratic equations, identify clothing, and even announced a new AR (augmented reality) experience for cars.
With the new Google Lens, you can now search for fundamental concepts in math, chemistry, biology, and physics problems, and receive step-by-step guides and videos on how to solve them. For example, you can search for a quadratic equation on Google and the app will give you a method to solve it.
The shopping experience with Google Lens on Android has also improved. You can now find the exact or similar item on the web with just one tap on the image that appears on your screen. Google will even suggest ways to style it with improvements to its Style Engine technology.
Finally, Google has also announced new AR experiences that will give you an auto show experience right on your phone. You just have to search for a car on Google, and in the results, you will have the possibility to show the car in AR, both its exteriors (in all its different colors) and its interiors. Google will soon make this feature available to US users, starting with manufacturers like Porsche and Volvo.
