Google Confirmed Calls Identify the Unknown Numbers
Google has announced the launch of a new tool called “Confirmed Calls” for Android phones to identify the unknown numbers. With it, users learn which company is calling them and why.
If Google can identify the company calling you (which the company does in real-time to prevent spoofing), the name and logo of the organization will appear on your screen, as well as a confirmation symbol. Verified subscribers will also see the reason for the call.
To be part of the program, a company must apply to Google.
The feature is available in the Google Phone app, which is pre-loaded on many Android phones. The service will also be available for download starting this week in the US, Mexico, Brazil, Spain and India. According to Google, the service will soon appear in other countries.
