Honor unveils laptops, tablets, and smartwatches at IFA 2020
The Honor conference “Expand your smart life” held as part of Internationale Funkausstellung Berlin 2020 was an opportunity for the Chinese brand to present many products. Mainly laptops and connected objects. Honor unveils its new laptops, tablets, and smart watches at the IFA 2020 event held in Berlin.
While Honor, a subsidiary of the Huawei group, is under the same pressures as the parent company from Donald Trump and therefore the ban on collaboration between American brands (including Google and its Play Store) and the Huawei group, the brand is diversifying more and more towards connected objects.
A trend that seems to be emerging more and more on the side of mobile telephony players, we are thinking in particular of Xiaomi. The theme of the conference was “Expand your smart life” and in the spotlight of this conference were several connected objects.
Honor MagicBook Pro
Designed for creatives, it has 512 GB of SSD storage, 16 GB of RAM, an AMD Ryzen 5 4600H processor, and an integrated Radeon graphics card. The mark indicates ultra-fast transfer rates (not communicated for the moment). It has a 16.1-inch FullWiew screen.
An autonomy of 8.5h is announced and a recharge from 0 to 50% in 30 minutes. This computer is available from September 8 at € 899.90 and with an immediate reduction of € 100 until September 27.
Honor MagicBook 14 and 15 new version
Available already for some time, the Honor MagicBook 14 and 15 first generation are extremely design laptops with features such as the camera hidden in the keyboard, the fingerprint sensor, or even very easy file sharing between the PC and Honor / Huawei phones via the “Magic-link” function.
The Honor MagicBook 14 will be available in 8 GB RAM 512 GB SSD storage. It charges in USB-C, with an announced autonomy of 10.5h and the possibility of recharging the device from 0 to 46% in 30 minutes.
The 15.6-inch version is much the same with an autonomy of 7.4 hours and 30 minutes to go from 0 to 53% charge. The Honor MagicBook14 will be available on HiHonor from September 21 for € 749.90. No price announced for the 15.6-inch version.
Honor Watch GS Pro
This connected watch has, according to the brand, and autonomy of 25 days, 4 GB of storage, and 32 MB of RAM, a dial of 48mm. In terms of health features: continuous heart monitoring, sleep monitoring, blood oxygen saturation measurement, stress measurement, and menstrual cycle monitoring.
• Monitoring of snow sports (skiing, snowboarding, freeride skiing)
• Recording of routes, an indication of the return path
• Safety assistant for the outdoors (sunrise/sunset, tide times, moon cycles, bad weather alerts time)

The Honor Watch GS Pro has been validated by 14 military tests. It has a high precision GPS and a return on route and deviation alert function.
It will be available for pre-order on HiHonor from September 8 at a price of € 249.90 and will benefit from an immediate € 50 discount from September 8 to 21.
Honor Watch ES
Another connected watch unveiled by Honor for fitness enthusiasts. There are 95 training modes and 12 types of training with a virtual assistant for specific scenarios such as calorie burn or abdominal training. Autonomy announced for 10 days and the same health features as the aforementioned watch. The Honor Watch ES will be available on HiHonor from September 21 for € 99.90.
Honor pad 6
Honor plans to release a tablet with WiFi and LTE connection, a 10.1 ″ Full HD screen, and 2 high amplitude balanced speakers. We do not have more information for the moment on this product. No price or release date communicated at the time of writing.
