How to Enable Password Autofill on Android 11
Work is underway to make the automatic password Autofill experience much better on Android 11. Starting with Android 11, virtual keyboards and other input method editors (IMEs) will be able to display autofill suggestions as an inline suggestion ribbon.
This way, you won’t have to wait for the current popup menu app to appear. This provides a truly seamless experience but can be considered good in some cases.
As you may probably be aware, autofill suggestions often include sensitive information such as private data and credit card details. To consider privacy, Android will hide suggestions on the keyboard until the user taps on it.
According to the official documentation of Android 11 Beta, developers of both IMEs and password managers should update their apps to support this feature. If an IME or password manager doesn’t support inline autofill, the old app (Android 10) will come into play.
