Huawei Kirin 9000 latest Flagship Chipset
Huawei is going to release its next latest flagship chipset, called the Kirin 9000, based on a 5 nm process with a built-in 5G modem. Earlier it was reported that the Chinese company ordered from TSMC production of 15 million units, but the latest report reports that only about 8.8 million chips will be produced.
As for the details, one of the sources of information leakage on Weibo confirmed that there are only 22,000 plates of 5-nm plates. One plate can give about 400 crystals. Multiplying these values, we learn the number of chipsets that the Taiwanese manufacturer can supply Huawei.
US sanctions have left Huawei without a number of important suppliers, leading to component problems. Earlier, Huawei said that the Kirin 9000 could be the latest flagship chip of its own development.
