LG to Launch Ultra-Light AR Glasses in 2021
LG is apparently preparing to launch its Ultra-Light AR Glasses. Itis reported that this tool is a new ultralight AR glasses and may be released in 2021. Sources have claimed that the South Korean tech giant is cooperating with Japan’s NTT DoCoMo, according to a new report. This collaboration is reported as “very light” AR glasses.
Apparently, the new glasses weigh only 79.38 grams. Although this is heavier than a typical pair of glasses, it is much lighter than the commercially available AR or VR headphones. Unfortunately, LG has currently refused to comment on the topic, but if the reports are correct, we can see these new AR glasses in 2021.
The report suggested that both LG and NTT DoCoMo are in the process of discussing and terminating features. In particular, the two companies have partnered to work on both 5G and LTE networks in the past.
While the idea of a light AR glasses is definitely attractive, there are still a lot of unknown factors. When the weight of the wearable product is so light, we can expect most of its processing power and calculations to be done via a smartphone or other secondary device, with a connection via special software.
