Match Preview
After a successful tour of South Africa, Pakistan is set to play a T20 series 3 matches against Zimbabwe. Pakistan becomes the only Asian team and Babar Azam becomes the Only Asian Captain to win the T20 and Test series on the South African soils. Pakistan won the ODI series by 2-1 and wins the T20 series by 3-1.
Pakistani openers Babar Azam, Rizwan and Fakhar Zaman are in a good form and we are looking forward to see a great show between both teams. Previously in 2020, Zimbabwe tours Pakistan to play 3 match T20 series. Pakistan also won the T20 series against Zimbabwe by 3-0. This time Pakistan has great opportunity to improve their batting strength especially the middle order.
Fakhar Zaman who has already scores 200runs against Zimbabwe and is the only Pakistani batsmen to score 200 runs. Everyone is again looking at Fakhar to put an amazing show with his bat. On the other hand, Babar Azam who has just achieved his career best ranking and is currently the number 1 ODI batsmen in the world is also going to break records with his consistent performance.
Babar Azam only need 60 runs in the upcoming matches to break Virat Kholi record of fatest 2000 runs in T20s. It’s quite easy for Babar Azam to achieve this milestone. Babar Azam is currently at 3rd position in the ICC T20 rankings and it’s a great opportunity to improve his position.
It is also expected that the Pakistani top class pacer Shaheen Shah Afridi will be rested in this series to give chance to the Pakistani youngsters to perform and show their skills in the upcoming T20 series against Zimbabwe.
