Most of the market is currently occupied by high-end smartphones. South Korean Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra becomes the most popular and best-selling Android smartphone in the Q1 of 2023. This is reported by analysts from the Canalys company on Twitter.
“Shipments of high-end smartphones priced over $500 increased by 4.7% year-over-year. This is contrary to the general trend in the smartphone market, which has declined by a little more than 13%,” the report said.
4 models from Apple also appeared in the general top of luxury smartphones. These are iPhone 14 Pro Max, iPhone 14 Pro, iPhone 14 and iPhone 13. Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra took fifth place.
The list also includes the Galaxy S23 and S23+, the previous generation Galaxy S22, and Galaxy S21 FE. There are also Chinese smartphones in the rating, in particular, Xiaomi 13 and Huawei Mate 50.
There is also a folding Galaxy Z Flip 4 in the top ten most popular smartphones in the world. This is a signal for future “folders” because this model went on sale only a few months ago.
