Shahid Afridi Ruled out of PSL 2021 Due to Lower-Back Injury
If all goes well, the Pakistan Super League (PSL 6) will be held on June 5 again. The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is making last-minute preparations for the tournament. The teams have already started training with local cricketers. However, the Multan Sultans are in trouble there. The team’s star all-rounder Shahid Afridi ruled out of the rest of the PSL 2021 due to lower-back injury.
Multan Sultans wrote on social media, ‘We are sad to announce that Shahid Afridi will miss the rest of PSL 6 due to injury. The Sultan’s family will miss you (Afridi) and we pray for your speedy recovery. ‘
While training for the remainder of @thePSLt20, I felt lower back pain & had to consult a doctor. Unfortunately I have been advised to rest and can no longer accompany my team @MultanSultans. I am heartbroken 💔 as I was practicing and training really hard. pic.twitter.com/OjaHD1w9cg
