The Xperia 5 II maybe Sony’s first 120Hz screen
Sony is preparing to release a new flagship Xperia 5 II which will be Sony’s first smartphone with the 120Hz screen refresh rate. There are a few weeks left before its presentation, but the AndroidHeadlines resource has already shown the smartphone on video and revealed its characteristics.
Android Headlines claims that the Xperia 5 II has a 6.1-inch OLED display with a refresh rate of 120 Hz, Full HD + resolution, and an aspect ratio of 21: 9. The smartphone mimics the design of the Xperia 1 II – the device will retain a fairly noticeable frame at the top and bottom.
On the right side, there are four buttons, in particular, a volume rocker and a power button with a built-in fingerprint sensor. The fourth button can be used to close the camera or launch Google Assistant. NFC, Sony, and Xperia logos are also printed on the case. There will be a 3.5 mm headphone jack, missing on the original Xperia 5.
The main camera will receive three sensors of 12 MP each: wide-angle with a viewing angle of 82 degrees (f / 1.7), telephoto with 3x zoom (f / 2.4), and ultra-wide-angle with a coverage angle of 124 degrees (f / 2.2) ). Declared support for 4K HDR video recording at speeds up to 120 fps, as well as optical and digital image stabilization for video.
Inside will be a Snapdragon 865 chip with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage. 5G support is provided. Last year, Sony unveiled the Xperia 5 at IFA 2019. Therefore, the successor is likely to debut at IFA 2020 in early September.
