Twitter CEO Elon Musk talked about new features that will eventually appear on the platform. It is about adding calls and encrypted messages. Even last year, Musk announced the release of Twitter 2.0 The Everything App, where such functions as long tweets, payments, and encrypted direct messages should appear.
“Soon there will be voice and video chat on your behalf to anyone on this platform, so you can chat with people anywhere in the world without giving them your phone number,” Musk said on the page.
If the calling function is added, the microblogging platform will turn into a social network like Facebook or Telegram. A version of encrypted direct messages will be available starting today. Musk did not specify whether the calls will be encrypted.
