It is one of the most popular places for a honeymoon because Gulmarg doesn’t have a crowd like Shimla and Manali. Gulmarg is rich in natural terrain, the view of which will take your breath away.

4. Sonamarg

It is 80 km northeast of Srinagar. Sonamarg is the home to the three sisters of Kashmir and is famous for the great Himalayan glaciers, the Kolhoi glacier, and the Machoi glacier.
Sonamarg is also rich in Himalayan peaks, Kolhoi Peak, Amarnath Peak, Machoi Peak, and the Sirbal peaks. These peaks never fail to attract tourists from all around the world.
Sonamarg acts as an important base camp for many treks that lead to pristine lakes like Gangabal, Vishansar, Gadsar, Satsar, and Kishansar.
The Thajiwas range divides Sonamarg into two halves, one famous for camping sites and the other side rich in beautiful waterfalls and the Thajiwas glacier.
5. Amarnath
Amarnath is one of the most famous and important pilgrimages in India. It is a dream of every devotee of Lord Shiva to go on the Amarnath Yatra at least once in their lives. The Amarnath cave has a snow Shiva ling that is formed naturally.
It is said that Amarnath is where Lord Shiva gave the secret of life and eternity to Goddess Parvati. Amarnath is accessible only in July and August and every year millions of pilgrims visit this place.
Amarnath is accessible through two routes, from Baltal and Pahalgam. While the Baltal route is shorter, it is steeper and more difficult.
So people prefer the Pahalgam route even though it is longer and takes 3-5 days to reach the destination. Helicopter services are also available by private operators.
