Xiaomi announces a new set-top box Mi Box 4S
Xiaomi is known for its affordable products. In addition to smartphones and tablets, the company also produces devices for streaming content called Mi Box. The latest model released by the company in China was the Mi Box 4 SE. Now the company is teasing with an updated version of the model called Xiaomi Mi Box 4S.

According to the company, the new model Mi Box will come with dual-band Wi-Fi, support for video playback with a resolution of 4K HDR, and a storage configuration of 2 GB of RAM + 8 GB of internal memory.

Xiaomi does not disclose the platform on which the new gadget will be built. The Mi Box 4 predecessor was equipped with the Amlogic S905L chip without support for VP9 hardware decoding for the Chinese market and with it (Amlogic S905X-H) for European retail.

Xiaomi Mi Box 4S goes on sale from November 1, 2020, at the price of $43 US. While Xiaomi Mi Box 4S costs 36 Euros in Europe and approximately 4,500 Yen in China.
