How to Apply for an Arms License Online Punjab

The government has digitized the process of arms, making it harder to have an illegal weapon. If caught, you could spend seven years in jail. Here is how to get your arms license online.

Step 1: You can get the Punjab weapon license form from the Punjab Police website.
Step 2: Complete the application form and sign it.
Step 3: Attach the necessary papers to the form.
Step 4: Send the application form to the police station in charge.
Step 5: The police station will check your papers and look into your background.
Step 6: You will be given a gun license if your application is accepted.

Punjab Arms License Fee

The license fee has gone up from Rs20,000 to Rs50,000 because of changes made to the fee structure by the Punjab Law and Parliamentary Affairs Department in the Punjab Arms Rules 2023.

Punjab Arms License Eligibility Criteria

In order to get an arms license, candidates must meet certain requirements:

You must be a citizen of Pakistan and have a legal Computerized National Identity Card (CNIC).
Having a home in Punjab
Be at least 20 years old.
Be on the list of current taxpayers who have filed.
Do not have a crime record
Not be on the run or have been found guilty by a court of law.
Must not be a part of a banned group or be suspected of being involved in any actions against the state.
Not be sick physically, mentally, or emotionally

Arms licenses can be applied for by security companies that are legally listed in Punjab or that do a lot of business in the province.

Additionally, business arms licenses will be given to people or legal entities that meet the necessary requirements. The types of manufacturing, repairing, and dealerships that can sell, buy, or keep weapons, ammunition, or military shops will be listed on these licenses.

One important change to the new rules is that license users will no longer need a separate permit to carry their guns concealed. This will make things easier for responsible gun owners.
