Petrol Prices in Pakistan Reduced by Rs. 40 Per Liter

October 16, 2023: For the next two weeks, the caretaker government under Prime Minister Anwaarul Haq Kakar has reduced the price of gasoline by Rs. 40 per liter and high-speed diesel by Rs. 15.

The finance ministry announced that the government has decided to adjust the prices of petroleum products. This decision was made because the prices of petroleum have been decreasing in the global market and the Pakistani rupee has been strengthening against the US dollar.

New Petrol Prices in Pakistan

The price of petrol has decreased significantly to Rs. 283.80 per liter, while the price of high-speed diesel is now Rs. 303.18 per liter.

The notification also mentioned that the new prices will start at midnight tonight, October 16, and will continue until October 31. The temporary government reduced the price of petrol by Rs 8 per liter and high-speed diesel by Rs 11 per liter for the next two weeks.

The ministry issued a notification stating that due to changes in the global price of petroleum products and an improvement in the exchange rate, the government has decided to adjust consumer prices. After the decrease, the price of petrol is now Rs 323.38 per liter, while the price of HSD is Rs 318.18 per liter.
